- Is LocumBook only for GP locums?
- LocumBook is designed primarily for UK GP locums, with NHS pension Form A & B support and UK tax-year awareness. Other locum doctors may find session and invoice tracking useful, but pension features are GP-specific.
- What tax year does LocumBook use?
- LocumBook uses UK tax years (6 April to 5 April). You can switch tax years on the dashboard, sessions list, and invoices to review historical data.
- Is my data stored in the cloud?
- By default, your session, invoice, and financial data stays on your device. Cloud sync is optional and requires LocumBook Pro, signing in with Apple or Google, and explicitly opting in to sync in Settings.
- Do I need an account to use the Free version?
- No. You can use LocumBook Free without signing in. Sign-in is required for Pro subscriptions and optional cloud sync.
- What does Pro include?
- Pro unlocks PDF self-assessment export, NHS pension forms, advanced analytics, calendar import/export, data import, payment chasing reminders, custom invoice templates, cloud sync, and more. See the Features page for the full comparison.
- How does Lantum import work?
- With Pro, paste your Lantum iCal feed URL in Settings. LocumBook imports your booked shifts so you can review and log them as sessions.
- Can I export data for my accountant?
- Yes. Pro includes accountant export and PDF self-assessment summaries. You can also create encrypted local backups (.lbkbackup) on the Free tier.
- How do I restore purchases or backup my data?
- Use "Restore purchases" in the app if you reinstall or switch devices. For data, create a local backup in Settings, or enable cloud sync with Pro and sign-in.
- Is LocumBook MTD-ready?
- LocumBook helps you track income and expenses and export summaries suitable for self-assessment. It is a tracking tool, not tax advice. Always verify figures with HMRC guidance or your accountant.
- How do I cancel Pro?
- Manage or cancel your subscription in your Apple App Store or Google Play account settings. LocumBook does not process payments directly.
- Does LocumBook provide tax advice?
- No. LocumBook helps you record and organise your locum finances. It is not a substitute for professional tax or employment-status advice — consult a qualified accountant or adviser.
