Backup and sync

Local backup (Free)

Open Settings → Data management → Encrypted backup. The screen title is Encrypted backup. The save section on that screen is also titled Back up my data (separate from the Cloud backup switch).

1. Optionally set a Backup password.
2. Tap Save backup file and choose where to store the .lbkbackup file (Files, Drive, Downloads, or another folder).
3. Share via another app instead sends the same file through the system share sheet.
4. To restore, choose a .lbkbackup file (Choose backup file (.lbkbackup)), enter the password if you set one, then tap Restore from backup.

Restore from backup replaces sessions, practices, expenses, and settings on this device. Local backups do not require an account. Document vault files stay on this device: they are not included in the .lbkbackup file, Cloud backup, or iCloud / Android auto-backup.

Cloud backup (Pro)

On Settings → Data management, the Cloud backup section is separate from Encrypted backup. Turn on Back up my data. That opt-in runs only when all of the following are true:

• An active LocumBook Pro subscription
• Sign-in with Apple or Google
• Back up my data switched on

Until you sign in, the row under the switch is labelled Cloud sync and offers Sign in. After you are signed in with Pro and the switch is on, that area shows Last synced and Sync now. Your data is not uploaded without Pro, sign-in, and the switch. Document vault files are never included — they remain on this device.

Data import (Pro)

Import sessions from a CSV from Settings → Data management → Import from spreadsheet.

Delete data

Open Settings → Profile → My Account (screen title My account) and tap Delete all my data.

• When cloud data can be removed, the confirmation is Delete all data?
• Otherwise it is Delete all local data?

Back up first opens Encrypted backup. Skip backup continues. Deleting the account also wipes the Document vault on this device.
